Photography is like thrift shopping…

…sometimes you thrift shop and and up with a bunch of treasures. Othertimes you just end up poking through a bunch of junk. That’s how photography is. I went to Bull creek, hoping to get some shots of birds and wildflowers, but didn’t see much of either. this was my only good shot. I don’t think I’ll go back there anytime soon. It was pretty dirty and gross. depressing. In more sad news, I learned that Mother’s cafe burnt down. While I found their entrees a little inconsistent, they had the BEST brunch in town. Vegan chocolate chip peanut butter pancakes with fresh strawberries. Heaven on a plate. It is also one of those old Austin restaurants that has survived, despite the incresing number of chains moving in. I hope they find a way to reopen.
