I am prepping for the Bandera 50K this Saturday. here is an old pic of me “carb loading”…one of my favorite activities! Although…I hate to taper….runnerspeak for less running and what feels like more eating, and a slight edgy feeling. It’s been the theme of the week. Oh well, soon enough I’ll be looking forward to rest.
Pancake and I did a 7 miler today. The greenbelt is true dog nirvana. We have so much fun when we go together. Hardly anyone was there today because it was so muddy it was like running on soup. It took the better part of the morning to get the mud off of us both. This picture is from the dam. good swimming if you are a dog.
I am psyched that this coming weekend will be my first 2007 race, the Bandera 50K. It should kick my butt. it is so rocky and so much fun. I am hoping the rain holds out and we all get a dry, warm day! Up next I have the Rocky Raccoon 50 miler, then the Austin 1/2 marathon, in March the Waco and Prickly pear 50Ks, and in April Rocky Hill Ranch 50K. That is all I have planned so far….
I was so lucky to do a lot of very cool runs in 2006. This picture is of the Vermont 100, my first 100 mile race. My 2006 kicked off with the Bandera 25K, then the Freescale marathon in Feb, then the Waco 50K and Antelope Island 50K in March. In May I did the Miwok 100K, and in July the Vermont 100. I got to finish the year with the Niagara falls marathon in october and the Dallas WHite Rock marathon in december. I don’t know if I can top that in 2007! I have some fun things planned though…….
Welcome to my new blog. I decided to do a blog because I saw so many other cool blogs, and I figured it is a more constructive thing to do than watch tv. A lot of my blog will be about running, but I’m sure I’ll post other things that interest me. I called it “Pancake is Cute”, because I know there will be a lot of Pancake pics published, like this great one of ther defending her beloved frisbee. Anyhow, thanks for reading!
